8 letters I sent in July and August

This time I will make a common post with all eight letters I sent these last two months. All because I was late with my deadline for July letter and I sent them all together at the beginning of August, but before that I decorated the envelopes and compared to the beginning of this year, everyone on the list received a letter and not a card. So, here they are:

My late Monday exhibition" I was out of the country for couple of days and I couldn’t manage to expose my collected art works from Muzei. I took some pictures before I left for Istanbul, and for the week I was absent I asked my boyfriend to register everything that will appear on my screen. So, here they are! It’s surprising how Muzei selects these images, because, compared to other weeks, I got two works by Briton Riviere, two by Tom Roberts and two by Santiago Rusinol. The one and only, for this exhibition is Dante Gabriel Rossetti! And "oh, boy!" isn’t his "Kissed mouth" such a masterpiece. The colors selection and features, that make him so easy to recognize. I still have to post one more exhibition, plus, for the couple of days I spent in Istanbul, I want to share with you a selection of pictures from there, so, I will just list the art works.

#1 “The long sleep” by Briton Riviere, 1868

#2 “Tick-tack” by Briton Riviere, 1881

#3 “Kissed mouth” by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, 1881

#4 “Boat on beach, Queenscliff” by Tom Roberts, 1886

#5 “Reconciliation” by Tom Roberts, 1887

#6 “Avenu of plane trees” by Santiago Rusinol, 1916

#7 “Jardin de las Elegias, Son Moragues” by Santiago Rusinol, 1903

Goodbye summer! Happy birthday, my love :) I know you don’t like taking pictures, so, this will be the most symbolic one in our album!

If I can use my celebrity status to raise awareness, of course I will. We should all be doing it, every single one of us. It’s just never been in my nature to go out there and go on a red carpet to say, “Oh, publicize me!”

You have to be careful of that because when you begin to believe you have license because you are a special person breathing special oxygen, that’s when you’re in big trouble. That’s the road to insanity. And a lot of people in the studios are like that. They believe that they are special.

For some reason, well probably it got lost, I can’t see my submissions on confused cats against feminism. It doesn’t really matter, because I still enjoy the movement! Here is my and Ryjik submissions for it.

My incomplete Monday exhibition" presenting you only three works out of seven. All because four days I did not have my tablet with me and could not monitor my Muzei submissions.

#1 “In the Style of Kairouan" - This is the first purely abstract painting created by Paul Klee. This composition is an illustration of Klee’s ability to use intonations of color to evoke a musical feeling. More about the painting you can read here.

#2 ”Portrait of Simonetta Vespucci" - Simonetta, upon arriving in Florence, was discovered by Sandro Botticelli and other prominent painters through the Vespucci family. Before long every nobleman in the city was besotted with her, even the brothers Lorenzo and Giuliano of the ruling Medici family. At La Giostra (a jousting tournament) in 1475, held at the Piazza Santa Croce, Giuliano entered the lists bearing a banner on which was a picture of Simonetta as a helmeted Pallas Athene painted by Botticelli himself, beneath which was the French inscription La Sans Pareille, meaning "The unparalleled one". From then on Simonetta became known as the most beautiful woman in Florence, and later the most beautiful woman of the Renaissance. More about the main female character of Botticelli’s creation you can find here.

#3 ”Manor-House at Körtvélyes" - József Rippl-Rónai believed that for an artist not only is his body of work significant, but also his general modus vivendi, even including the clothes he wore. He thus became interested in design, which led to commissions such as the dining room and the entire furnishings of the Andrássy palace. I could not really find many details about this specific creation, so, I guess more about the artist you can find here.
